Piccini

Founded in 1882, Piccini is one of Italy’s best-known wine brands worldwide, with a strong Tuscan tradition and iconic orange label that has become the hallmark of the company. Piccini is family-owned to this day, with fourth generation Mario Piccini at the helm, based in Castellina di Chianti in the heart of the Chianti Classico region.

The winemaking expertise is not limited to Tuscany – the company now owns five estates across the length and breadth of Italy, encapsulated in the award-winning (Decanter Gold 2019) Memoro Red. The recently re-branded design, featuring a compass rose, hints at the blend of four different grapes from four distinct regions – Primitivo from Basilicata, Montepulciano from the Abruzzo, Nero d’Avola from Sicily and Merlot from the Veneto.
