This classically proportioned Merlot-led Saint-Emilion (with a dash of Cabernet Franc) from an excellent vintage is just shading into softer maturity, the firm tannins beginning to melt, the lovely plump red and black fruit taking on a savoury edge, with a touch of spicy oak drifting into the background. Ready now but would carry on improving for a good few years yet.
